Hey everyone,

Okay, so this is going to be a bit of a rant, feel free to skip to another blog if you would like, you have 5 seconds...

You're still here? Great!

Insult has started to become a regular occurrence in my life; I'm being offended on a regular basis and the worst part is - people don't even realise they're being offensive!
Now, I'm all for feeling confident and positive about the shape and size of your body, as long as you're happy and healthy, who cares? Now, assuming we're all in agreement with what I've just said, why is it that a growing number of adults are starting to tell me to "get some meat on my bones?"

What?

No. Go away.

On a day to day basis, I'll usually eat enough to feed a small army, I'm not on any diets, nor do I want to be. I'm just small. Always have been.
Saying that, I don't even think I'm particularly small, I'd say I'm wonderfully average and was, perfectly comfortable in my own body.

I just don't understand why people think its okay to comment on other peoples weight, why should they care so much about how everybody else looks? It's like when I get back-handed "compliments" from friends saying things like "I could never wear something like that, I'm too fat. You're lucky you're so skinny." err... What? Why don't you stop concerning yourself with something that I have chosen to fit my body and go find something nice for you, that you like and looks good on YOU.

Relatives too! Stop saying things like "I used to look like that once, you don't know how lucky you are, make the most of it!" err... Excuse me!? Stop comparing yourself to a teenager, embrace and love your body now for what it is!

I'd like for it to be known that being called "skinny" is just as insulting as being called "fat."
You don't know why that person is the size they are; What if they have an illness causing extreme weight loss? What if they're recovering from an eating disorder? Or maybe, they could be like me - just small.

Well... I feel much better now.  Just remember, you might as well love your body for what it is, its the only one you have!

Unless you're a cyborg. Then you could probably get a body upgrade or something...

Red Red Red!

Hey everyone! Sorry again for the delay in posting this, I've been very unwell recently! But, I'm on the mend now :)

Some of you may or may not know, I'm a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, you might even call me a Swiftie... While out buying presents again today, I spotted a bottle, shimmering red, from across the room, charms dangling from the cap. Next to it, a line of red boxes covered in gold swirly patterns... I honestly hadn't seen it anywhere in England until today. Enchanted Wonderstruck. I didn't even hesitate, I had to have it! So, its now sitting on my desk next to me which can only mean one thing... A fragrance review!

Let's kick off with the packaging, which I am in love with! I don't know if there's a word for it, so I'm going to say reflective and hope its the correct one... But the bottle changes colour in the light, it looks a darkish shimmery purple in the dark, but when the light hits it, it reflects red, it looks so pretty. The cap is a gorgeous gold colour with baroque-like patterns on it, at the base of the lid there are four gorgeous charms; a clear gem and a gold, rustic bird (maybe a swallow? I don't know, I'm no bird expert) a feather and a flower with a cute little gem in the middle and a little pink one next to it. The actual bottle itself is a little round one, it really is very lovely.

Scent! Its a much softer, more sophisticated scent than that of Wonderstruck. It's sweet and quite fruity, an evening scent, if you will. It's certainly a more mature scent but still very wearable for teens and young adults. I think I prefer this to Wonderstruck, its a little more my style. It's not strong smelling at all, its a subtle fragrance which will not overpower easily, lovely for the summer and spring when you don't really want to be wearing any heavy scents!

Sorry I can't add any pictures, I usually take them on my phone which has just been sent off to be repaired (no!) But the packaging is so beautiful you won't miss it anyway! I picked my bottle up in Superdrug today,  its a 50ml bottle which I got for £20 (on sale, woohoo!) but you can pick it up pretty much anywhere that sells perfume, drugstores, perfume shops... Anywhere! I think it's usually around the £30 mark for the 50ml bottle, but it is definitely worth it, I think I may even need to pick up a travel size!

I hope you enjoyed reading this review, if there are any scents out there you'd like to recommend, please, comment below!

Just a Little Mention!

Hey guys! Sorry there hasn't been a post in a little while, unfortunately I've been a bit under the weather! Buuuuut, I decided to pop into Lush the other day to get a present for a friend and well, I'm a sucker for Lush! I absolutely adore everything in the shop, so I couldn't resist getting myself a little something too!

This isn't really a review just something I wanted to point out to everyone, as I love a good cause! Soooo, Lush are currently selling tiny, tiny little pots of hand/body lotion, they're only 10g but they cost £1 and the money goes to charity (apart from what is needed for VAT) however it does state this on the lid of the pot.

Many of you will know that Lush is famous for using natural ingredients and I think its the lack of chemical nasties twinned with the quality of the products that make this such a desirable brand. I for one, can't have enough Lush in my life!

The lotion is rich and hydrating, it feels like such a luxurious product and leaves a beautiful cocoa scent on your skin. I wouldn't classify this as a product only to be used on certain skin types either, it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling fresh and smooth although a little heavy.

Regardless of the mini review I've given, I still encourage you all to pick yourselves up a little pot, it's for a good cause!

Your Dry-Lip Disasters Solved!

If like me, you suffer with probably one of the most annoying habits in the world, this may be the post for you! For as long as I can remember I've had the terrible habit of lip biting, I'm actually biting them as I type this, that's how bad it is. I'd never actually noticed I did it until last year when it was pointed out to me, how embarrassing! Anyway, as a result of this, my lips are almost constantly dry, I can only recall one point in the last year when they've actually been lovely and soft... Not biting them during this time was torture!

I'm constantly on the look out for lip products which are hydrating, but not greasy, runny, sticky or foul smelling... Up until recently, I'd only ever found one product that came close to my little list of demands and after I'd finished with it I couldn't find it anywhere to repurchase it! So my search continued... And then I found one! YAY!

The product collecting all this build up is Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula lip balm!

The one I have is dark chocolate and mint flavour - but you could always get the original if its more suited to you! There isn't a word that exists to describe the amount I love this lip balm, it is amazing. The only way to describe the smell of the chocolate and mint one is to say it smells a bit like... After Eight Mint Chocolates? Ever had those... They're lovely. It also tastes a little bit like them, sooo yummy. It's a nice consistency, creamy but not heavy, it feels so weightless on the lips but you could build it up if you wanted, which I do at night time, just to keep them hydrated. I've had this now for a good three months, and I still have about a quarter of it left which is amazing, as I tend to find that things like these run out fairly quickly.
This miracle product also has SPF 15 which is handy, it's important to protect your lips from the sun! It leaves a nice sheen on your lips too, it isn't overly glossy, it just gives them a healthy little sparkle.

I really love this lip balm, I will definitely be repurchasing it, its one of the best I've ever used. It's such a luxurious product and for a bargain price. They're available in Boots and I assume any other good pharmaceutical store and should be between £2-£3 however I am unsure about prices and stores in the US!

If anyone would like to recommend any others, feel free to leave me comments! :)

Skincare Review; Boots Botanics Mattifying Cleansing Mousse.

As many other beauty bloggers will be aware, spotting a new product while you're out shopping is nothing short of exciting, especially if its something you've never really seen anywhere before. So, when I noticed the Boots "Mattifying Cleansing Mousse" its safe to say I was intrigued, to say the least.
I've never heard of a "Mattifying Mousse" before, so I was really enthusiastic about trying this product and for only £3.99 there was no way I was going to miss this purchase!

I've been using this product for about three months now, and I love it. The packaging is practical and helps prevent waste of the product, its a pump so you simply pump the amount of foam you need into your hand and you're good to go! Also, it states that the bottle was "made using a minimum of 25% recycled content," which is brilliant! Environmentally friendly and practical!

It's also really simple to use, just pump the amount you need into your hand and apply it to your face in circular motions, rinsing off with warm water. It claims to cleanse, clarify and reduce excess oil, my skin is oily/normal and I see immediate results after using this product. It states at the back of the bottle that the "foaming mousse dissolves excess oil" and I really think it does! I use this once, sometimes twice a week because despite my love for this product, I do worry that it could dry out my skin fairly easily, it definitely has the potential to do so, for this reason, I definitely do not recommend this if you have dry skin!

The mousse itself is a very dense foam, its creamy and a little bit goes a long way! It has got a strong scent which is very hard to describe... It's kind of a very sweet herbalish (I'm aware that's not a word... Sorry) scent with a citrus twist to it...  It isn't a lasting scent, so when you put it on your face, it won't stay for the entire day, but it is strong, so if you're not a fan of putting strong scents on your face, again, I wouldn't recommend it. However, I think the scent is because its a botanical product, which means that it has been made using plant extracts, it reads clearly that it has been approved by Kew Royal Botanic Gardens, so don't worry about it being a cocktail of chemical nasties!

I understand that this product won't be for everyone, but it really works for me, I will definitely be repurchasing this, or something very similar and I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for similar products! If anyone can recommend any, I'd really appreciate that!
